VIKINGS marauded into a village school for a series of special lessons.
Year 3 pupils at Steeple Morden Primary School welcomed the History off the Page group for a day of Viking-related activities.
Susan Harley, Year 3 teacher, said: "In the morning the children acted as Viking settlers, making candles, sculpting with clay, and weaving.
"Then in the afternoon they took the role of archaeologists and carried out some excavations.

"Activities like this make the subject much more relevant to the children and, although it sounds like a clich�, really do bring the subject to life.
