Update: Melbourn robbery

A MAN is due to appear before magistrates this morning (March 24) charged with a robbery at Melbourn.

Staff in the Co-op store in High Street were threatened in the incident that happened shortly after 4pm on Monday (March 21).

The robber grabbed some cigarettes and made off.

Melvin Plummer, 24, of no known address, has been charged with robbery and is due to appear at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court.

A 17-year-old boy who was arrested on suspicion of robbery has been released on police bail until April 19.
