TWINS have set themselves a tough challenge in a bid to give a bit back to a charity close to their hearts.
Alison Hubbard and Jenny Brackley will be taking part in the Ben Nevis Challenge for Breast Cancer Care.
The 62-year-olds, who are both swimming teachers, will be walking up the highest peak in Scotland to raise money.
Jenny, of Priory Close, Royston, said: "I had breast cancer 10 years ago."
"I finished treatment for breast cancer last March and I am on the road to getting fit again," said Alison, of Poplar Drive, Royston.
"We were both treated at Addenbrooke's and they were absolutely fantastic.
"This is our way of giving a bit back."
The women are both fitness fans and have just got back form a fitness weekend at Camber Sands in Kent.
Jenny, who is also a swimming coach at Melbourn Swimming Club, said: "It was shocking the amount of people being treated when we went to the clinics. I think that upset me more than anything.
"We were very lucky."
Jenny said: "Everyone at some time in their life will be affected by cancer, and it's not getting any easier.
"We are looking forward to the walk and will also be taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk/Run in Royston in June."
"We are hoping to take part in the Breast Cancer Care Trek China where we will walk the Great Wall next year," said Alison.
"We want to show people that there is life after cancer."
Alison and Jenny have to raise a minimum of £500 each for the challenge.
"But, of course, we'd like to raise more," said Alison.
The twins will be walking up Ben Nevis on October 25.
