Updates after person hit by train near Cambridge

All lines have reopened after rail disruption between Audley End and Cambridge.
Lines were blocked shortly after 1.30pm today (Thursday, July 22) after a person was struck by a train.
Paramedics and British Transport Police attended the incident, but a person sadly died at the scene.
Lines reopened shortly before 4pm.
Several trains between Ely, Cambridge and London Liverpool Street were cancelled with a rail replacement bus service in place between Cambridge North and Bishop's Stortford.
CrossCountry and some Greater Anglia routes from Stansted Airport were also disrupted.

A Greater Anglia spokesperson said: "Greater Anglia and Network Rail are sorry if your journey has been affected by this disruption.
