Police have confirmed that two people remain in a serious condition in hospital following a crash on the A505 between Baldock and Royston last night.
Emergency services were called at 6.37pm to reports of a crash involving a silver Hyundai and a grey Mercedes van on the eastbound carriageway of the A505, Royston Road, just past the junction for Slip End.
Three people were taken to hospital, and a police spokeswoman has confirmed that two remain there in a serious condition at this time.
The road was closed until around 3am this morning, but has now reopened.
If you witnessed the crash, saw the vehicles or the events before the collision, call Herts police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference ISR 721 of March 6.
