BUNTINGFORD will lose its town centre manager next month.

Mark Dell who joined the Town Centre Management Team last Septmeber has had his temporary contract terminated without prior warning.

However, he is hopeful the team will continue with some of the projects he started.

He said: "While there are traders at the Monday market, there are not enough people shopping at it and that's a problem. So I hope the team and Buntingford Town Council look at that and encourage more people from the villages to come."

Mark said he has had an "interesting" year working with the town.

He said: "There's a diverse group of people and some good business in the town and they all need our help and support.

During the past year Mark has successfully helped organise a number of events including the classic car show, produced a newsletter and edited a book on Buntingford, Wartime Memories.

He said: "I feel I have raised the profile of the team.
