The Queens Road Playgroup based at Tannery Drift School has been re-accredited with a Herts Quality Standards Award.

Owner and manager Judy Porto, who has been at the playgroup for 17 years, said: "We are delighted to receive this award which recognises the work we do."

County councillor Jane Pitman, lead member for children's services, said: "The fact that almost half of the latest award winners are being accredited for the second time reaffirms their commitment to Hertfordshire children.
