A BUSINESSMAN from Shepreth is meeting with the head of Cambridgeshire Police after branding her force "useless". Chief Constable Julie Spence is to personally meet John Wright, of Wrights Mowers, next week. Mr Wright claimed police had given up trying to trace his stolen items after being broken into 23 times. Mrs Spence said: "I am concerned people think we have given up because it is simply not true. I'm going to meet Mr Wright at his premises and hear his complaints for myself. "I've checked and he has reported 23 break-ins in recent years, which is a lot. But I want people to know we always investigate crime and do our utmost to convict offenders and trace stolen property. "But we certainly haven't given up. We have to be evidence led. And if we can find evidence about where stolen equipment is going, we will follow it.
