Tools stolen from vans overnight in Melbourn after parked car’s back windscreen smashed in Shepreth

Police are investigating tool thefts from vans in Melbourn, as well as criminal damage in Shepreth which saw a car windscreen smashed.

Tools have been stolen from two vans in Melbourn overnight, while a car windscreen has also been smashed this week in Shepreth.

Two secure vans were targeted in the village – one in Hinkins Close and another in nearby Russet Way.

The thefts follow a separate incident of criminal damage in Shepreth on Monday.

At some point between 6.30pm and 7.05pm, the back windscreen of a gold Renault Megane was smashed while the car was parked on a private drive in Folwmere Road.

Anyone with information about each crime is asked to call Cambs police on 101.
