TIME is standing still in the village of Fowlmere.

The chapel clock has been standing at midday - or midnight - for a number of months, and is in need of repair.

The cost of the work is an estimated £2,000.

A repair fund has been set up in the village to meet the costs.

The clock is the only public timepiece in the village, and is described in the latest edition of the local newsletter as "much loved".

A clock repair fund box has been placed in the chapel.
