BURGLARS stole thousands of pounds of equipment from a golf club, damaging the centre in the process.
Police are investigating after the incident in Kingsway Golf Centre, Cambridge Road, Melbourne.
Clubs and other equipment, including Nike, Titleist, Ping, Wilson and Ben Ross, were stolen at about 11pm on Monday. The offenders also caused damage to the centre.
Detective constable Andy Bates, who is investigating, said: “I would urge anyone with information about this incident to come forward.
“I am keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area and if anyone has been offered new golfing equipment for sale to get in touch.
