Slimmers in Royston and Melbourn have stopped temptation in its tracks by donating their leftover Christmas food to the area’s foodbank.
The big donation was well received, and will go to those facing food poverty.
Consultant Jo Mitchell said: “This is an amazing charity to donate to. Not only do people in crisis get to benefit from some Christmas goodies, but our members felt this would really help them commit to their weight loss journeys after the Christmas festivities – which is such a tough time!”
The food weighed 56kg and was given to foodbank volunteer Cheryl Parkinson at a presentation last week.
