Crooks broke into a Foxton shed and took large machinery and a small amount of tools yesterday evening.
Police were called at 8pm to reports of a burglary at the Bowling Green in Hardman Road.
Witnesses saw two men leaving the area into Illingworth Way and the large machinery was later discovered in wooded land nearby.
Officers are also keen to trace the owner of a blue Vauxhall Zafira which was seen leaving the area.
Police are warning shed and outbuilding owners after a spate of similar incidents in South Cambridgeshire villages since Saturday, November 7.
