VITAL lessons on road safety have been delivered to the children at Therfield pre-school.

Sue Aslin, the lollipop lady from Greneway School, Royston, visited the children to talk to them about staying safe.

Deputy leader of the pre-school, Sally Hale, said: "Sue is a friend of mine so she very kindly agreed to come in and spend some time with us.

"She talked to the children about crossing the road safely, and then did a couple of activities with them. At the end she gave out colouring books and badges.

"I think it was really useful for the children, they've got to know that stuff as they get older," she said.
