PUPILS at Therfield First School are making an energetic start to the day thanks to new aerobics sessions.
The sessions, which began this week, take place every morning in the school hall.
Headteacher Linda Meredith said: "This is part of the Take Ten programme, which encourages children to do 10 minutes of exercise each day.
"I'm very grateful to the staff for giving up their time each morning to supervise the aerobics."
Mrs Meredith added that they hoped to take the pupils outside for aerobics as the weather improved.
They will also be introducing skipping to the routine.
She said: "The children have been very enthusiastic so far, and it has certainly put a smile on their faces.
