A SURPRISE guest kicked off a charity run in Great Chishill yesterday.

The Stig, star of BBC's Top Gear, made a surprise appearance at the Great Chishill Sport Relief mile, which took place yesterday at the village recreation ground.

After a mass warm up led by Great Chishill football coach Fred Smith, the Stig started the race, which saw competitors walk or run a mile in aid of the BBC charity Sport Relief, which supports disadvantaged people at home and abroad.
