TELEVISION farmer Jimmy Doherty stopped at a restaurant in Shepreth - and now it will be seen in his BBC2 series Jimmy's Farm. Simon Day and Luciana Ferreira, owners of The Plough, were approached by Simon's old school friend Jimmy to appear in the current series. Simon said: "Jimmy and I were discussing different ways of cooking Jimmy's pork for some time, and in fact The Plough was the very first restaurant to feature in its menu Jimmy's Farm sausages and pork." Simon said that their ideas became more adventurous as Jimmy was keen to explore recipes which used the whole of the pig - including its ears, head and trotters. The staff at The Plough accepted the challenge and spent a day cooking delicacies, including Pate de Tete (pig's head pate) and Pig's Ear Brioche under the watchful eye of the television cameras. Jimmy said: "It was brilliant to actually be involved in cooking the produce from the farm in a more sophisticated way, and to see the final dish beautifully presented and ready for the customer to eat. "It was a fantastic insight and I am delighted Simon and Lu were up to the challenge!" - You can see The Plough on Jimmy's Farm on BBC 2 on Tuesday at 9pm.
