Two cousins from Royston who threw a ladies' night fundraiser to promote the town's businesses, and raise money for charity said it was a big success.

Candice Bradley and Stacey Graves held the fundraiser at Royston’s Royal British Legion and raised more than £300 for Sands, which supports families affected by stillbirth and neo-natal death.

“We have had such great feedback and the night was buzzing!” said Candice.

Half of the proceeds will go towards the North Herts branch of Sands, with the remaining money going to the national charity.

“Lots of people have asked if me and Stacey could make it a bit of a regular thing so that’s something we are going to look into at a later date.”

“Thanks to everyone that held a stall and all those who came and donated,” said Stacey.
