TEENAGERS from Royston will get the chance to work with the National Theatre's Robin Belfield as part of this year's Royston Arts Festival.
The actor, whose stage credits include The Entertainer and Kiss of the Spiderwoman, will be holding a workshop with a group of pupils from Roysia, Meridian, and Greneway Schools.
Robin attended Icknield Walk, Greneway and Meridian Schools in Royston before studying drama at university and being selected as Trainee Director on the Channel 4 Theatre Director Scheme.
The workshop will take place in the Market Hill rooms, Royston, on Sunday September 27, from 2pm - 3.30pm. A question and answer session with Robin will also be held, and is open to members of the public.
Meanwhile, Royston Arts Society is gearing up for its 31st Annual open exhibition, which is being held the town hall during arts festival weekend.
Shirley Streeter, from the society, said: "The exhibition is the showplace for our 86 members, many whom are retired and just enjoy getting out to meet like minded people in a pleasant atmosphere. The standard of exhibited work is extremely high and many pictures are sold."
Visitors to the exhibition can vote for their favourite piece in a best picture competition, sponsored by Johnson Matthey. The exhibition will run from 10pm - 5pm.
