MERIDIAN School teacher Jenny Warburton, left, has been given this year's Fred Sillence award for outstanding contribution to the dramatic arts.
The award is presented each year by the Royston-based amateur drama group Cads in memory Mr Sillence, a long-standing member who was also editor of The Crow.
Jenny was described as an "absolute inspiration" for youngsters.
The Cads Youth Drama award went to Chloe Montrose, right, a sixth-form student at The Meridian School, who was in the cast of the Cads's production of A Separate Peace that won the Cambridge Drama Festival last year.
