THE River Rib in Buntingford will be on the agenda at Buntingford's Community Voice meeting on Monday.
People will be able to learn how to safeguard the river for the future.
Issues such as problems with litter, build-up of sediment, and water levels will be discussed.
The Herts & Middlesex Wildlife Trust will talk about wildlife, and a project to protect the water vole.
Buntingford Community Voice chairman Stan Bull said: "Concern for the environment is on everyone's mind. The next Community Voice is a good opportunity to find out what's happening locally."
The meeting will take place at Freman College at 7.30pm.
