Original artwork by talented members of Royston Arts Society will take pride of place at the town’s museum this weekend – and there’s plenty of time for you to catch show in the weeks to come.
The society’s annual exhibition will be opening at the town’s Lower King Street heritage base on Saturday, and runs through until Tuesday, July 26.
It’s the first time that the society, which was first established in 1978 and today has more than 100 members, has staged its showcase at the museum.
Museum curator Jenny Oxley said: “The exhibition will be a great opportunity to see artworks by local amateur and professional artists, showing off the wealth of talent Royston has to offer.
“There will be a variety of art on display from watercolours to mixed media, paintings to prints.
“All will be for sale at affordable prices and there will also be associated greetings cards available to purchase in the museum’s shop.
Entrance to the museum and exhibition is free for all. We’re open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10am to 5pm, with the last admission at 4.45pm.
