A SPONSORED swimathon raised more than £5,000 for charity.
The event, organised by the Rotary Club of Royston, was described by club president David Easthorpe as "a great success".
He presented cheques for £1,300 each to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, the Open House Project in Royston, the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth and to the club's own charity fund.
The swimathon took place at the Royston Leisure Centre.
The club is planning to hold another swimathon on October 13-14 and is looking for people to take part.
