A SPONSORED swim has raised more than £150 for Children in Need.

The swim, which took place at Royston Leisure Centre, was organised by Beth Hinton, a Year 8 pupil at Roysia Middle School, Royston.

She and six of her classmates took part, and managed an impressive total of 96 lengths in one hour.

In total they raised £158.50.

The children thanked the leisure centre staff for allowing them the free use of the pool and facilities.
