COUNCILLORS are supporting the need to keep pharmacies at GPs' surgeries.
The move comes after Royston GP Dr John Hedges warned that the service could disappear.
Plans to end surgery dispensing are being reviewed by the Department of Health.
Dr Hedges told members of North Herts District Council's Royston area committee that the service produced "a significant income" for both the Royston Health Centre and the Roysia surgery.
