A sell-out school production has been described as “amazing”.
Students at Meridian School performed their own version of Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s The Phantom of the Opera, which three full houses watched last week. The cast, crew and band were made up of students, who spent four months in rehearsal.
The performance included an illuminated chandelier that fell and rose from the school hall ceiling, as well as a band playing West End scores and an elegant corps de ballet.
Year 13 student Chloe Smith said: “Being in Phantom has been an amazing experience. Everyone involved has worked so hard and created an incredible show. I already miss it and am still singing the songs. I’m glad my last production was fantastic!”
