PICTURES of stolen jewellery recovered by Cambridgeshire cops has been posted online in a bid to reunite owners with their prized possessions.

Officers working on Operation Twist released the images of more than 100 pieces of jewellery and uploaded them to the force’s Facebook page so people can claim their property.

Detectives believe the items may have been stolen from homes across Cambridgeshire, Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire or other neighbouring counties.

Det Insp Jon McAdam said: “We have recovered a huge amount of property and are keen to trace the owners.

“I would urge anyone who has had jewellery taken during a burglary over the past year to check the gallery on our Facebook page to see if they can identify any of the property we have recovered.”
