A ROYSTON man is set run the London marathon alongside Sir Richard Branson.
Steve Plumb, of Green Street, will swap broadband for sweatbands after being selected to run the marathon as part of the 14-strong Virgin group team, which includes Sir Richard, the company's founder.
Mr Plumb, who is an engineer with Virgin Media, said: "The London Marathon will be my second marathon, but I'm not as fit as I used to be so I need to train to my full potential.
"I am really keen to support the East Anglian Air Ambulance because of the great work they do, so I'll get across that finishing line no matter what.
"It's one of the most famous marathons in the world and running with the with Richard Branson is going to be amazing too," he said.
