AN ice-cream van, a horse and cart and even Del Trotter's yellow van were how some students made their way to the school proms this year.
Meridian pupils arrived at the school for an evening of glamour to mark the end of their secondary school days.
Zoe Smith, joint leader for key stage four at Meridian School, said: "It was an absolutely fantastic evening. The pupils all looked very smart and beautiful arriving in some great vehicles."
Prizes were awarded to the year group before they enjoyed a buffet and disco until 10.30pm.
One hundred and fifty pupils and staff attended Bassingbourn Village College's prom.
A spokesperson for the school said: "It was a fantastic evening and a great success."
Parents and villagers gathered outside to see the pupils dressed in their fine outfits.
The students were entertained by a jazz band, and the evening culminated in a fireworks display.
