An animal-loving physiotherapy lecturer was on her bike last weekend raising money for an animal charity.
Melbourn resident Steph Wyer took part in the 100-mile RideLondon-Surrey event to raise money for Wood Green’s shelter at Heydon.
Mrs Wyer has been volunteering at the centre for the last three years. She overcame a back injury, which disrupted her training, to take part in the ride.
She said: “As well as seeing first-hand the good work the charity does while volunteering every Friday at the centre, I have rehomed three cats, including Pud who lives with me now. All of the cats have been such a joy to have so I wanted to give something back.”
