A BARN-STORMING evening is in prospect at Greneway School.

It is the venue for the Royston Lions Club barn dance and fish supper, being held on Saturday, February 28.

Proceeds from the evening will go to Herts Young Carers, an organisation that looks after the needs of children and young people who care for someone who is ill, has a physical or mental disability, or drug or alcohol problems.

Jennifer Collard, the Lions president, said: "Young carers are badly in need of support for themselves and to help them carry out their important work caring for members of their families."

Guests will be dancing to the sound of Bob Ridout and the Four Hand Band.

The fish and chip supper is included in the cost and a bar is provided.

Pre booked tickets costing 12.50 are available from Ladds, High Street, Royston or book by calling Jennifer on 01763 231492.

The Lions Club plays an active role in the Royston community raising money for local charities as well as community activities and is always looking for new members willing to offer help and support with all these activities.
