Children returning to school this week will benefit from new electronic equipment thanks to a £6,000 donation.
The money has been supplied to St Mary’s School, in Melbourn Road, Royston, but the schools’ friends association. It was raised at events during the last school year.
A spokesman for St Mary’s said: “The friends have been very active fundraisers for St Mary’s over the years, and have paid for a new stage, new playground equipment, our new library and towards the cost of resurfacing the playground.
“The school has benefited greatly from their support, not only financially but also helping build the family community of St Mary’s.”
