THE St George's Day Festival at Wrest Park in Bedfordshire is rapidly becoming a national institution and English Heritage and The Crow are inviting readers and their families to join in the fun. We have five FREE family tickets (two adults and three children aged 16 and under) to give away. Just send your name, address and daytime telephone number to The Crow, Heath House, Princes Mews, Royston SG8 9RT to take part in our draw. On Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23, visitors are invited to see a host of activities, culminating in a re-enactment of the legendary St George's battle with the dragon. From a bouncy castle to a historic market there is something for all members of the family. Medieval falconry, a knight's tournament jousting preview and a Roman encampment make this an unmissable weekend. Throughout both days a thrilling programme of period entertainment will be taking place in three arenas. In the main arena, two cavalrymen will perform a mounted display showing the clothing, weapons and saddlery of the 5th century AD. A preview of the knights' tournament will be sure to keep the crowds entertained with skill at arms and an armoured joust. Those who book before April 10 receive a discounted price of just £20 for a family ticket covering two adults and three children - a saving of £5.
