PUBLIC toilets in Royston are set to receive a complete overhaul. North Herts District Council officials were yesterday (Wednesday) viewing Royston's public conveniences with architects to set up a plan of action. Cllr Bill Davidson said: "We are looking at the public toilets, just to see what is required. "I wouldn't be at all surprised if there is a completely different set up with the outside and inside refurbished." Officials and architects are expected to complete a report which will be considered by councillors on March 28. Members of the district council's Royston area committee will also have the opportunity to discuss any plans. Vaughan Watson, head of health and environmental services at the district council, said: "We are looking to complete the entire project by the next financial year, so we hope to have it finished by the start of April.
