South Cambs MP Heidi Allen has moved her constituency office from Hardwick to Sawston and officially marked the opening of the new premises by inviting businesses and councillors to an Open House event on Wednesday last week.
Following her re-election in June, South Cambs MP Heidi Allen moved her constituency office from Hardwick to Sawston and officially marked the opening of the new premises by inviting businesses and councillors to an Open House event on Wednesday last week.
The get-together was an opportunity for Mrs Allen and her team to introduce themselves to the new community.
Mrs Allen said: “I’ve been looking for some time for an office that was more accessible for my constituents.
“Small but perfectly formed, I’m so pleased we now have a High Street location in Sawston.
“I’ll still be holding regular drop-in surgeries around the constituency, but I’m hoping residents will find it easier to come here for individual appointments.
“There is a real community feel here and I am very touched by how welcoming everyone has been since we moved.”
Her next surgeries are in Cambridge this Saturday, the Sawston office on September 29 and at Melbourn Community Hub from 10am to 12pm on October 21.
