South Cambridgeshire MP Andrew Lansley will officially open the Melbourn Community Hub tomorrow (Saturday).

Mr Lansley will cut the ribbon on the hub at a ceremony at 11am on Saturday morning.

The £250,000 hub, built on the site of Melbourn’s old police station in the village high street, has been in use since February.

It houses a café with free Wi-Fi, a library access point and meeting rooms which can be used for leisure or business.

It was built by Melbourn Parish Council, and the site also accomodates 13 affordable homes.
