THE Royston-based Corvus Amateur Drama Society (Cads) will be performing two one-act comedy plays for two evenings over the weekend of July 15 and 16.

The plays follow the society's success at the annual Cambridge Drama Festival in April.

Michael Young will be directing the Tom Stoppard dramatic comedy The Real Inspector Hound, which involves murder, mystery - and tennis.

Michael said: "This is an intriguing comedy that has been superbly written by one of Britain's best playwrights. Tom Stoppard provides a clever and witty script."

Cads chairman Kathy Wholley will be directing The Cherry Sisters, a short comedy that was written by Michael Green.

Kathy said: "I have a superb cast who are ably getting their tongues round their Russian names and producing a hilarious performance."

The plays will take place at Greneway School, Royston at 6pm on Saturday, July 15 and Sunday, July 16.

Tickets are £4 each and available from the Cads box office on 01763 223805 and 01763 242906. Tickets will also be available on the door.
