A COLLECTION of old pub signs have been given to the Royston & District Museum.
The museum already has a number of pub signs around its gallery and the new ones will be added to the display.
Museum trustee Phil Smith said the signs represent the Phillips and Fordham's breweries when they were operating locally.
"Someone uncovered them sitting at the back of a shed and decided to donate them to the museum," said Mr Smith.
Museum curator Carole Kaszak said: "Breweries such as Phillips and Fordham's played an important part in our local history.
"The new signs will add to the collection and show the days when there were so many pubs in the area."
