WEIGHT Watchers from Melbourn said g'day to some wallabies as they took part in a sponsored walk for the British Heart Foundation.

Members of the group walked from Melbourn to Shepreth Wildlife Park and back to mark national Get Walking week and raise funds for the charity.

They were greeted by the wallabies when they arrived at the park.

Kelly Westgate from Melbourn Weight Watchers explained: "Weight Watchers want to see how many times members across the country can walk the distance from England to Australia, so we thought we'd come to the wildlife park and see our Australian friends."

The group will walk a total of more than 70 miles between them.

Kelly said: "Walking is the best way to get more active. It can be fitted into your daily routine, you don't need any special equipment, and it's free.

"Not only can walking help increase weight loss, but it decreases the risk of developing obesity-related diseases such as coronary heart disease, which is why we're raising vital funds for the British Heart Foundation.
