Shepreth and Meldreth residents still waiting to get connected after superfast broadband roll-out

In spite of an official roll-out of superfast broadband services across Cambridgeshire, a county councillor is frustrated that large pockets of both Shepreth and Meldreth have been missed out.
Many people are reaping the benefits of the high-speed fibre broadband roll-out programme that has reached close to 100,000 homes and businesses that could not get it before.
The project involves Cambridgeshire County Council and BT, with the first phase of the programme now complete.
Yet Councillor Susan van de Ven said: “People who live in areas that haven’t been connected must be tearing their hair out.
“Council officers whose job it is to pressure BT to get everyone hooked up need to know where the gaps are. So please do contact us if you haven’t already, and we will put you in touch.
“With the recent roll-out in Heydon and Great and Little Chishill, again please do ensure that any lack of service is reported.”
