THE A505 was closed earlier today (Monday) when a container carrying sheep overturned in the road.
Police were called to the incident, at the Little Chef roundabout near Royston, at 1.55pm. The container was on a trailer, being towed by a tractor, when it overturned, blocking the A505 going towards Baldock.
Both the A505 and Baldock Road were closed while the container was righted. A vet was called to the scene but it is thought none of the sheep were harmed.
