Older people in Royston have been celebrated by the town’s council, who invited them to a free showing of an iconic film at the weekend.
More than 130 senior citizens took up the Silver Sunday invitation and enjoyed an afternoon of classic entertainment, watching To Kill A Mockingbird at the Royston Picture Palace, with a complimentary cuppa and some delicious cakes beforehand.
Councillors Vera Swallow, Rita Turner and town clerk Susan Thornton-Bjork were all in attendance.
And for those who needed it, free transport was also funded by the town council, courtesy of Royston Community Transport.
