A charity dedicated to helping find missing people like Royston author Helen Bailey is set to benefit from a fundraising boost after a team of budding volunteers took on a gruelling 500-mile cycle ride from Edinburgh to London.
Missing People is currently appealing for eight people from Hertfordshire, including author Helen Bailey who disappeared from Royston with her dog Boris on April 11.
Appealing for information regarding Helen’s whereabouts, her partner Ian Stewart said: “Days have become weeks and weeks have become months – Helen please don’t let months become years.
“Helen, bring Boris home or ring 116 000. Life without you is just wrong.”
Funds raised through the cycle challenge will enable the charity to continue operating their free, 24/7 helpline for missing people and their families, the only service of its kind in the UK.
The team, including Paul Jones, father of April Jones – who was abducted and murdered in 2012 – set off from Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh on Saturday and arrived at the Tower of London yesterday.
