MONEY was taken when burglars struck at a school.
The raiders broke into Foxton Primary School at some time between 6.40pm on January 10 and 7.50am the following day, getting away with cash.
Police this week appealed for information on the incident, which they are linking to five other school burglaries which have taken place in Huntingdonshire and South Cambridgeshire this month. These include a break-in at Haslingfield Primary School last Wednesday, which also saw money taken.
Detective Inspector Ian Simmons, from Cambridgeshire Police, said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who may have any information about these thefts.
“We’re working with Cambridgeshire County Council and local schools giving them crime prevention advice and asking them to remove cash from their schools.
“I have officers reviewing CCTV footage, but I would like local residents to call us if they have any information or see anything suspicious in the area.”
Anyone with information should contact police on 101.
