A PUPIL from Sandon School received a certificate on Tuesday for producing an inspiring logo for the North East Herts School Sport Partnership. Meg Lewitt's design of three inter-connecting rings will be used as inspiration for the real logo. The rings which resemble the Olympic rings represent the three tiers of the partnership - primary, middle and upper schools. The logo will be used on publicity materials, documents and clothing. Meg, 11, was presented with sports vouchers by Louise Shortland, a member of Stevenage and North Herts Athletics Club, and her school received a contribution towards sports equipment. Presentations were also made to other pupils, who were highly commended for their logos. They were Adele Rand and Jacob Rand from Barkway School, Charlie Parrottt from Edwinstree School, Tom Furnival from Freman College, Sam Balkwill-Smith from Jenyns School, Megan Surrey and Ben den Dulk from Millfield School and William Smith from Reed School.
