All 50 students at Therfield First School spent an afternoon last week entertaining Tesco Extra shoppers with a range of traditional and modern Christmas songs.
Children wore Christmas hats and tinsel necklaces while belting out the tunes to raise money for the school’s outside play area and Home-Start Royston and South Cambridgeshire.
The event was organised by headteacher Tara McGovern, community champion Mandy Jinkerson and duty store manager Andy Smith.
Tara said: “Our young children had so much fun. They enjoyed performing to the smiling audience and felt like mini popstars for the day. Thank you to everybody for their kind donations.”
