Schoolchildren got to grips with alien teeth and mummy’s fingers when an author dropped in for a workshop.
Ian Macdonald, who wrote The Mummy’s Finger and Powder Monkey, visited Fowlmere Primary School.
Teacher Sarah Toule said: “We’re looking to improve boys’ writing in the school and Ian writes books about subjects that typically interest boys.
“All the classes had the opportunity to listen to Ian read, then work with him on stories of their own. It was a real success. I think the children enjoyed themselves and we got some really good pieces of writing out of it.”
