IT IS A CASE of four legs good, two legs bad for pupils at Freman College who are putting on a production of Animal Farm.
The adaptation of George Orwell's allegory of the Russian revolution is being performed by students in year's nine and 10, and tickets for the evening shows on Thursday and Friday have already sold out.
Jo Todd, head of drama at Freman College, is directing the production. She said: "This is a particularly demanding play, especially for students of this age, because it requires a good understanding of the history and politics that lie behind it.
"I was really impressed, not just by the students' performance skills but also the maturity of their understanding. I feel really proud of them."
Headteacher Helen Loughran said: "Once again we have gained some very talented actors from our partner middle schools this year. Both staff and students have worked so hard on this production and their commitment is reflected in the high standard they have achieved."
