SCHOOL children in Barrington have received a Christmas tree for their school in exchange for performing an evening of carols.
Fifty pupils from Barrington C of E School took part in the performance at the Country Homes and Gardens centre in Shepreth.
Head teacher Anna Reeder said the evening was popular with both the pupils and parents.
Pupils, aged from four to 11 sang a mixture of traditional carols and modern songs.
The tree has now been given a Christmas touch after the pupils were given the task of decorating it.
Mrs Reeder said: "We have a Christmas art programme where all the pupils design decorations. We started it three years ago and it has become a bit of a tradition.
