ARRIVING at the opening of the Peterfield School's annual fete in Orwell on Saturday are Scooby Doo, Daphne and Shaggy.

Fete organiser Judith Smith said: "The weather helped, we had an excellent time and the children enjoyed themselves."

The emphasis this year was on animal antics, with owls from the Raptor Foundation, ferrets, and pets from Wood Green Animal Shelter in Heydon and Bambi the Shetland pony being among the many attractions.

The parent-teacher association hopes to raise about £1,000 for the school from the event.
